Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter in the flyweight division. She is the older sister of her fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the competition and defeated Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007, a medal of bronze in 2008, and a gold medal with gold in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion of 2016 by IFMA. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012, she took home the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina has fought her last time against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's first professional MMA debut came in 2002 at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan where she was matched against Anara Bayanova. She won via TKO at the end of round 2. She went on to win her two subsequent bouts in the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. She was awarded an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko committed herself to kickboxing as she took a prolonged absence in MMA. She was back in 2017 when she faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa by a unanimous vote. She then went on to defeat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She resigned from the organization and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko knocked out Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina showed off her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera by knees. Following this victory Antonina was able to sign an UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut UFC in her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight following her first bout by a an unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss and beat Lucie Pudddilova at UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. The bout earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko had a win in her first three fights but then lost her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina has recently been knocked out by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
