A Pennsylvania born, Kolber received her graduate diploma in her alma mater, the University of Miami. She started her professional career as a video coordinator at CBS Sports in New York City. The award was an Sports Emmy for her work on WTVJ-TV Miami. She worked at WPLG-TV, Miami as well as WPEC-TV West Palm Beach. In 1993, she was selected for anchoring the first season of ESPN2's launch. After three years, she resigned from ESPN2 and joined Fox Sports. Then she returned to ESPN as host in 1999.
