Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. She also was a former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host who has spiky blond hair and an ebullient persona, shows how you can cook dishes that are restaurant quality at home using simple methods. Burrell is a chef who has been in the kitchen for a long time. Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has explored Italy's cuisine and the culture of Italy, as well as the landscape. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell was captivated by cooking and food at an early age. After earning an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the restaurant business by enrolling as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. The student says "I was a huge Culinary Institute of America (CIA) student. I was awed by every moment." I couldn't seem to get enough out of it. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) during her time at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. In Italy she gained a profound appreciation and understanding of Italian culinary and cultural traditions. It will have a significant impact on how Burrell cooks. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve the lives of children who face problems. Burrell is also a Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador where she advocates for education about children with diabetes. Burrell speaks on her culinary passion and shares her expertise in the culinary world as she frequently travels throughout the US in both her roles as speakers and mentors. Anne has, through her whole experience in the kitchen, has declared that it's a pleasure to be able to share this passion for the food industry with people.
